Chapter - 7
7. Encounter with Isaac
Isaac was a bespectacled character who was indispensable in otome games.
He is the son of the Prime Minister, and is ridiculously serious, uptight, and misogynistic. He is the type of character that you need to raise your study parameters to capture.
He is the son of the Prime Minister, who is so serious and uptight that he is ridiculous, and hates women.
He was slumped on the ground, surrounded by three boys. His clothes were stained with dirt, his cheeks were swollen, and the edge of his mouth was cut.
And his glasses were askew.
Oh, distorting one's identity, that's relentless.
The boy with glasses was surrounded by several people, shouting abuse at him, and apparently being violent. There is no doubt about it. It was bullying.
It's none of my business, and Isaac is the only one who is aware of what I'm seeing. I could just walk away.
I could just walk away, or I could talk to a suitable adult and ask them to go check on him. It's probably for the best.
But if I look at it differently, it's also an opportunity.
So far, I've only had fights with my brother and my swordsmanship tutor.
Aside from my brother, there is a possibility that my tutor is playing games with me and losing on purpose.
I wondered how well I would fare against an unrelated third party. This would be the perfect opportunity to test that.
This is a great opportunity to see how well it will work on an unrelated third party, and to do so under the guise of stopping bullying.
If it doesn't work, all you have to do is run away. You can shout and call for help.
If it came down to it, we could do whatever we wanted.
The policy was decided.
He stomped on the dirt and stood up. At the sound of this, the sons surrounding Isaac turned around in a panic.
"Hello, Isaac."
I raise one hand in greeting, and Isaac rolls his eyes. Isaac rolled his eyes as I raised one hand in greeting, which was natural since we had never met before.
The three sons who turned to look at me were all unfamiliar faces.
If they were ambitious parents, they would have brought their children close to their age to the second prince to greet him.
If they had any ambition, they would be at the party making connections, not sneaking around here.
Well, maybe he came to say hello and I just don't remember him.
"Young lady, are you lost? The party is that way."
"We're having a little chat with this glasses guy. I'm sorry, can you give us a moment?"
The possibility that I didn't remember was dissipated by the son's remark.
If he knew that I was the daughter of a duke and the fiancée of the second prince, he would not be able to talk to me like this.
Isaac was the only one who seemed to know about me. His face quickly turned pale.
I think he might have come to greet me with his parents. I don't remember.
"....Or do you want to have a chat with us, too?"
A smirk twisted his lips, and one of the sons walked up to me.
He was a little shorter than me. He's not particularly stocky, but he's not thin either. He looks like a normal boy.
His movements were carefree. This is good.
"Stop."
As I slowly opened my legs shoulder-width apart, I heard Isaac's voice.
"It's none of her business."
(One of the boys was raising his hand on her while he said this, for clarification.)
"Did you hear that?"
"Did you hear that?"
Isaac's words were met with a rather un-aristocratic chuckle from the sons.
I've been told by my mother that I'm not very elegant, but I'm not surprised if this is what she thinks of me.
"I'm not going to let you get away with it."
"Agh!"
I'm not sure what to say, but I'm going to say it.
I'm not sure what to do, but I'm going to do it.
"Ugh, weak."
"Don't get your panties in a twist just because you're in front of a woman!
"Dumbass."
He cursed Isaac verbally and stomped on him with his shoe. I was told to stop, but I couldn't let this go.
"Hey, can we stop this?"
I stepped in between them and covered Isaac with my back.
"Don't worry about me."
"Not so fast."
Isaac called out to my back, but I jumped away. I'm not going to blow my chance.
This position might be better, even if people see you, because it gives the feeling that you were protecting them. Let's do this.
"Hugh, you're so cool!"
"I'm so happy for you, Galibun-kun. You're lucky to have a girl to protect you!"
As soon as he said that, I gently caught the fist of his son who was about to hit me.
It's a good idea to have a good idea of what you're doing. It was similar to a back throw.
The difference is that I'm trying to launch him like a catapult, instead of slamming him into the ground.
"That's it!"
With a pop, his body flies through the air with great force. He drew an arc of some height and fell into the bushes, breaking through the trees.
" " "What?" " "
The voices of Isaac and the other two boys overlapped.
